Love fashion?
Love the planet?
…enjoy them both.
Behind every label featured on HowBigIsYourEco, there is a story of style and sustainability.
Many designers do clever, innovative and thoughtful things so we can all enjoy a long, stylish future… HowBigIsYourEco cherrypicks the coolest bits from around the globe along with a directory of our favourite labels from Australia and New Zealand.
Because being chic shouldn’t cost the Earth.
When researching an eco style story for a national fashion magazine, Matthew Paroz expected to find a site just like this one: a directory of stylish labels with an eco-ethical bent. There wasn’t one. So he created it. Many of the designers on HowBigIsYourEco don’t actively promote their label’s eco credentials, it’s just part of what they do. Which is how it should be. But that makes it tricky for you to know about it…by talking to the designers and publishing their point of view, HowBigIsYourEco aims to make the world a little more chic AND sustainable.
Matthew Paroz is associate editor of GQ Australia. He has worked in publishing and PR in Australia and the UK on titles including InStyle, vogue.com.au, Peppermint, marie claire and blogging for Rosemount Australian Fashion Week. How big is his eco? Like all of us, there’s plenty of room for improvement…
