The season marks a departure of sorts for Chronicles Of Never designer Gareth Moody. The sophisticated European aesthetic and gender-straddling, layered styling remains. Likewise, geometric influences are still apparent, but silhouettes loosen up and the usually dark palette gets a lift from lush, earthy hues. Luxe fabrics abound as always, with butter-soft suede a highlight. What began as a jewellery collection in 2006 is now a full line encompassing apparel, denim, leatherwear (super-cool shoes and bags) and eyewear (a collaboration with Graz) plus a diffusion line, Black Noise White Rain.

Moody produces around 90% of his collection in Australia, a figure that he tells us will increase as opportunity arises. Recycled paper is used to package Chronicles jewellery, footwear and apparel and the label supports Greenpeace and child sponsorship through Plan Australia. All fabrics are 100% natural and Moody tells HowBigIsYourEco that he is looking into incorporate organic and sustainable textiles in the near future.
