UPDATE: Fashion aid floods in

While in Queensland at Christmas with family, the main topic of conversation was rain… followed by creek levels, the overflowing dam and much speculation on where it would all end… today the whole world is talking about it. In the wake of the extraordinary scenes of our flood ravaged towns and cities, the fashion industry has quickly swung into action to lend its support…

SYD♥QLD FLOOD RELIEF FUNDRAISER
Stylist and designer Donny Galella first put the call out on Twitter late Tuesday night for the industry to do what it does best—a gala event:

Before long, many of Galella’s high profile friends were on board pooling resources for a fund raising event on January 25th. Designers Alex Perry (above) and Samantha Wills, TV personality Maude Garrett and PR gal Sara Bray (who immediately worked the phones to secure a venue and sponsors) were quick to get behind Galella—now there is over $65,000 of prizes to raffle and auction including money-can’t-buy signed memorabilia from NRL star Braith Anasta, skater Corbin Harris and surfer Taj Burrow.

Tickets are a $100 donation—full details and venue information are to be released on January 15 but you can get in early by contacting Sara Bray PR & Events at assistance@sarabray.com or phone 02 9389 6276. 100% of funds raised go to the Premiers Flood Relief fund.
