It’s impossible to take a sartorial step this season without tripping over clogs—figuratively and, I suspect, literally in many cases. They are everywhere and arguably the hottest thing in shoes for summer.
If you’ve yet to find the right clogs to clomp along in, may I recommend taking a look at the pieces just released by gorman? They’re not only bang on trend, they are vegetable dyed which is a commendable effort to reduce the need for chemicals in their construction. Not to mention, a rather refined and wearable heel shape.
There are currently three platform styles in boutiques (the online store currently shows only two older designs, both sold out…an omen for these new releases). There’s the cross clog, above, in tan or black, the two-strap design and the picinic clog with three foot straps and ankle strap, in pink and black (see below).
