Hot shop: Fleur Wood

Today Fleur Wood opens her spanking new boutique in Melbourne’s iconic GPO shopping precinct. Fleur’s fifth boutique evolves the successful formula her stores have established. There’s always such a seductive mix of old and new with cute and quirky surprises.

The store debuts Fleur’s new SS10-11 collection and includes her lingerie and homewares lines as well as antique finds from around the globe. Worth checking the AW10 sale rack for a bargain before it’s all gone…

The intimate 48 sq m design is a collaboration with well-known fashion retail architect Kelvin Ho, with all antiques selected by Fleur’s own hand. Walls are lined with mismatched vintage wallpaper and over 200 ornate, gold mirrors. The centre piece of the store is a pink lightbox that serves as both service counter and light source.
