What began as a project between friends has evolved into a stylish collection of jewellery and homewares. Polli’s visual roots are in Japanese and Danish paper design, with a hint of Art Deco thrown into the mix. Since studying industrial design together in 1999, Maja Rose and Tess Lloyd have crafted recycled brass and stainless steel into delicate adornments sold around the world. The label’s limited edition Eco collection of tactile, botanical-inspired designs incorporates scrap metals, leather remnants and recycled coffee bean bags.

Made in Australia, Polli jewellery uses stainless steel (75% recycled)  and fully recycled brass off-cuts. Excess materials from the production process are reused where possible or donated to local schools and artists to reduce waste.

The label is certified ‘LoCo2′ by the Carbon Reduction Institute, minimising their carbon footprint through emissions offsets, in-studio recycling and energy efficiency. The team shares lunch daily, cooked in-house from local ingredients as a way to bring staff together, feed them well and reduce waste.

Packaging is made from recycled card where possible, with plastic packaging minimised. The label has a policy encouraging wholesalers to return excess packaging to the studio. Partnering with WWF, Polli is donating $1 to the protection of animals for every piece sold from their Pillow Pillow Pillow collection of animal pendants.
