Preview: LAB Sud du est

Directory favourite LAB has just released images from their new premium line Sud du est… it’s a long way from boutique racks (that’s early 2011) but as the above image reveals, the label is branching out into women’s wear for the first time.

The Sud du est line slots in above the existing Local Art Base collection. LAB’s modus operandi is tailoring with a twist in the detailing. The new pics reveal the return of pleat-front pants for guys, split panel jackets and waistcoats, plus an interesting take on the classic white shirt—loose lapels and no collar. Looks for ladies include an LBD, neutral mini dress with folded detail and a floor-length asymmetrical-hemmed gown.

The new premium line, like the existing range, is made by Australian tailors…
