Happy Earth Day… Couldn’t think of a better way to mark the occasion than with a sneak peek at a hot label soon to hit our shores.

Hailing from Brazil, Osklen has been dubbed by the UK World Wildlife Fund a ‘future maker’ for incorporating sustainable materials and taking on green production methods. Not to mention the collections just look hella cool.

Creative director Oskar Metsavaht’s aesthetic has quite sporty undertones: relaxed shapes and loose fits with deconstructed detailing—there’s something slightly unconventional about the pieces that really appeals. Oskar himself is a tad unconventional—once a sports medicine specialist, he’s had no formal design training. Apparently he tends to develop the concept and feel of his campaigns first and the collection follows on from there.

No matter…it hasn’t discouraged Marc Jacobs, Hugh Jackman and Madonna (toting an Osklen bag around Malawi the other week) taking a shine to the label.
