Arrived back from a meeting this evening to find this slipped under the door…the invite to a pre-RAFW event thrown by MAC. These shindigs are always the hot ticket of fashion week—remember Dita Von Teese writhing around on a giant lipstick a couple of years back? Yup, it’s usually that kind of party.

Guaranteed it will be fun, like every year, but recyclable? Not a word that is often bandied about at gala fashion events, and perhaps a sign of the times that MAC have taken such an approach…well, whatever that approach turns out to be. A statement about sustainability? Intriguing to say the least.

The ‘fleeting’ element leads one to believe that perishable materials are involved in some way—frocks made of food? Pants constructed from plants?

The MAC soiree takes place the night before RAFW kicks off…then all will be revealed.
